Information

Editorial standards

How learning, articles and news are sourced, reviewed and corrected.

Clinical Education aims to make the source, audience and limitations of published material visible.

Clinical learning

Clinical claims should be grounded primarily in authoritative guidance and reviewed for source date, scope and audience. A module must not present educational material as a substitute for patient-specific judgement, local policy or specialist advice.

Professional learning

Professional content should distinguish UK-wide regulation from nation-specific employment arrangements and local organisational practice.

Articles

Articles identify the author, publication date, audience and declarations where relevant. Analysis should be distinguishable from operative guidance.

News

News summaries link to the original issuing organisation. Publication dates and event dates are kept separate where both matter. Highlighted ticker items should be reviewed so that old announcements are not left presented as current indefinitely.

Corrections

Substantive corrections should be traceable through revision or audit records. Readers can report a suspected error through Messages & support or the contribution route.
