Information

Privacy notice

Essential information about how ClinicalEdu handles account, learning, tutor-support and governance information.

ClinicalEdu is an independent educational platform for healthcare professionals. It collects and uses personal information only for functions needed to operate secure accounts, learning records, assessments, certificates, support, tutor services, governance and platform security.

Accounts and learning

Signed-in accounts may contain your verified email address, display name, sign-in provider reference, professional profile information you choose to provide, learning progress, assessment history, certificates and support records.

Tutor messaging

If you use optional tutor support, messages are stored in encrypted form. Tutor messaging is supervised for governance and safeguarding. Automated checks may identify possible patient-identifiable information, abusive language, harassment or other misuse. Authorised governance administrators may review flagged or reported conversations, or review a conversation where necessary to investigate safe and lawful use. Governance access is permission-controlled and audited.

Do not enter patient names, NHS numbers, dates of birth, identifiable clinical details, confidential employment-case information or other information you are not authorised to share.

Meetings

Optional tutor meetings require mutual agreement and administrative authorisation. Before a meeting invitation may disclose registered email addresses, each participant must separately consent to that disclosure. ClinicalEdu does not record tutor meetings by default.

Lawful and proportionate processing

ClinicalEdu processes information needed to provide the service and for legitimate interests in security, safeguarding, governance, quality assurance, misuse prevention and maintaining trustworthy educational records. Where consent is used for an optional function, such as disclosure of a registered email address for a meeting invitation, it can be withdrawn for future use.

Your rights and further information

UK data-protection rights may include access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and complaint, depending on the circumstances and lawful basis. Signed-in users can see a more detailed Privacy & consent page in their account.

Independent information is available from the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), including how to make a data-protection complaint. Professional confidentiality guidance is also available from the General Medical Council, Nursing and Midwifery Council and Health and Care Professions Council.
