Learner guide

A practical guide to using Clinical Education, recording progress, assessments and certificates.

Clinical Education is an independent learning platform for healthcare professionals. You can browse published material without signing in. Sign in when you want to save progress, complete assessments, retain certificates or use account support.

1. Choose learning

Use programmes when you want a structured pathway, or open an individual module from the learning library. Each module should identify its intended audience, estimated learning time, sources and review date.

2. Use current sources

Clinical modules are educational. Follow the linked primary source where a decision is time-sensitive and continue to use local policy, supervision and patient-specific clinical judgement.

3. Complete the assessment

Assessments are explanatory rather than punitive. Feedback is intended to direct further learning. A pass records completion of the module; it does not by itself establish clinical competence.

4. Keep your learning record

When signed in, My learning shows modules you have started, completed modules, scores and available certificates.

5. Certificates

Certificates confirm completion only. They do not represent accredited CPD, regulatory approval or specialist competence unless a specific course explicitly states otherwise.

6. Support

Use Messages & support when reasonably necessary for account, learning, contribution or certificate queries. Please do not include patient-identifiable or other confidential information.
